Combined Heat and Power (CHP), also known as Cogeneration, is an efficient process used to simultaneously generate electricity and heat. The process recovers the exhaust heat energy created by the gas turbine and converts it into useful steam. This can then be used for building heating, process and other applications at no additional cost.
The above process is also employed in district heating power plants to provide both electricity and heating for local facilities and homes.
